as posted by the channelDelhi police Special Cell have nabbed a suspected IS (Islamic State) operative from central Delhi. Abdul Yusuf was arrested from near Buddha Garden in Central Delhi.
Two IEDs (improvised explosive device) recovered from his possession.
A few hours after his arrest, police conducted the bomb diffusion exercise because both the IEDs were active bomb kept in pressure cooker.
The agencies dug up two feet whole on the ground in Buddha Garden and out the IEDs into it. Then they executed a "control blast" to diffuse the bombs.
Abdul Yusuf has been sent for eight days of police custody.
It is suspected that he was planning to execute terror attacks in Delhi or NCR during the time of festivals.
