3:04Now PlayingWith COVID-19 cases witnessing a spike in the national capital, the Delhi government has now decided that government school teachers will also be roped in to issue challans to violators for not wearing masks in Delhi. The teachers have been told that they can issue a challan of ₹ 500 if any person is found violating the norm of not wearing mask in public place and spitting in open.
A Delhi government official said that in order to increase the manpower for enforcement of wearing masks in public places, the teachers have been involved. Delhi recorded 2,024 fresh COVID-19 cases on Sunday, the city's highest single-day spike in in the last nearly 50 days.
