25:19Now PlayingOn The Urban Debate, JEE and NEET exams amidst the Coronavirus pandemic have not only created a huge uproar for the safety of students from the infection, but various parts of the country are facing heavy rainfall and flood-like situation, which have made life difficult for students. It is not easy for these students to commute to different areas and travel while risking their lives for an exam, still remains a huge debate.
Students from different parts of India explain the kind of problem they are facing, some are living in containment zones, while some are facing heavy rainfall. Shivansh Tyagi, a NEET aspirant from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh explains how his exam centre is in Dehradun, which is 150 kilometres away from where he lives. Public transport is not available and the government is reiterating on the Standard Operating Measures. He further adds that a number of Ministers in the state have been infected with the virus despite the Standard Operating Measures.
Tuhin A Sinha of BJP says, if NEET and JEE exams do not happen this year, the pressure will increase next year on the two batches competing, the number of seats will remain the same, but the competition will increase.
