33:07Now PlayingOn The Urban Debate, Former President of India Pranab Mukherjee passed away at the age of 84 at the Army and Referral Hospital in New Delhi today, he died due to organ failures and had been fighting COVID-19 infection. His health had been fluctuating for the past few days and was admitted to the ICU ward. The entire country mourns his death and pays tribute to one of the best leaders India had.
His son Abhijit Mukherjee took to Twitter to confirm the news of his death. Senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar stated that Pranab Mukherjee truly was a national leader rather than just a Congress leader because he had an incredibly warm rapport across the floor.
'Pranab Mukherjee was a wonderful human being, he always had pleasant words even for his opponents', says Former Governor, Mizoram Amolak Rattan Kohl.
Senior Journalist Neerja Chowdhury says that India will remember Pranab Mukherjee as a man of consensus, consensus being the way to run India. She adds, his contributions were phenomenal and India will miss him.
