Namma Metro trains in Bengaluru resumed operations on Monday with all safety measures in place. Only trains on the Purple Line, i.e from Baiyappanahalli to Nagasandra have resumed operations from today. Trains on the Green Line from Nagasandra to Yelachenahalli, will resume on Wednesday.
Till September 10, trains will operate from 8AM-11AM and 4:30PM-7:30PM. September 11 onwards, trains will resume operations from 7AM to 9PM. Only 400 passengers will be permitted on each train.
Trains will stop for 60 seconds at each station and for 75 seconds at Kempegowda(Majestic) station, which is the inter-change station for the two lines. Only smart cards are permitted as no tickets or tokens will be provided, in order to reduce contact. No recharge of Smart Cards will be done at the stations.
Passengers will have to top-up cards using the Namma Metro App or on the BMRCL website. Most importantly, only 1 bag will be permitted per passenger on the metro trains. We bringing you a ground report.
