While the family earlier requested for a CBI probe as they suspected homicide, the case was transferred to the central agency. The focus from homicide and CBI’s investigation quickly shifted to the drugs angle which the Narcotics Control Bureau is probing and late actor’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty has been sent to judicial custody in the drug angle along with her brother Showik Chakraborty and Sushant Singh’s staff members.
A Special NDPS court has now given permission to the NCB to visit a Mumbai jail in order to record further statements of Showik Chakraborty and Dipesh Sawant, in drugs link probe.
Two teams of NCB are probing the case from different angles.
