A day after Executive Committee meet at AIADMK head quarters, Deputy CM O Panneerselvam holds meet with senior leaders avoiding Collectors meet.
As CM Edapadi K Palanisamy is holding virtual meet with District Collectors over lockdown and relaxation preparations for October, Deputy CM O Panneerselvam has avoided the meet.
AIADMK MPs Vaithyalingam and KP Munusamy along with Manoj K Prandin are present at OPS residence.
This comes a day after a heated discussion over CM candidate in Executive Committee meet.
On Monday, AIADMK held a crucial Executive Committee meet at party head quarters in Chennai over several issues but the prominent one vein who will be the next chief Minister candidate from AIADMK.
A heated argument allegedly also ensued in the Executive Committee meet but no decision was taken over finalizing the CM candidate.
AIADMK, after death of Jayalalitha has no General Secretary but 2 leaders with Deputy CM O Panneerselvam as Convenor and CM Edapadi K Palanisamy as Co-Convenor.
OPS faction wanted to create the 11 member steering committee to decide party affairs while EPS faction was not keen about.
According to sources, at one point Deputy CM OPS had claimed that EPS was made CM by Sasikala while he was made CM by Jayalalitha.
Strangely for this comment, EPS had allegdly replied that both were made CM by Sasikala.
But post the meeting, AIADMK MP KP Munusamy met the press and stated that the CM candidate will be announced on 7th October jointly by EPS and OPS.
