The AIIMS report has repudiated the murder conspiracy and ruled it out as suicide. Satish Maneshinde, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer has stated that the Mumbai Police had also reached a conclusion after the Cooper Hospital’s toxicology report that there was no foul play involved. He went ahead to say, “I would beseech all those who are jumping to conclusions, to come to rest & wait for the CBI to make a declaration and file a report before the Court of law”.
Sanjay Hegde, a senior Supreme Court Advocate, commented on the entire case by stating, “Sushant Singh Rajput had had a history of mental illness, there were fights over his treatment, things had not gone well at that stage in his career. He committed suicide. It has been blown up. The drama must now end”.
Geeta Luthra, Senior Advocate Supreme Court, on the other hand, states that “The fact that Rhea Chakraborty was not with Sushant Singh Rajput for the last 4-5 days, in its own way takes away the theory of abetment to suicide”.
MN Singh, Former Commissioner of Police, Mumbai expresses his dejection over the case. He states, “It is very unfortunate that while the case was being investigated, the media made all kinds of insinuations against various types of people and created a campaign to malign the Mumbai Police.”
