1:26Now PlayingThe CBI has officially taken over the Hathras Gang-Rape and Murder Case after the Central Government issued a notification in this regard. Ghaziabad Branch of Lucknow Zone of CBI is expected to probe the case and investigate both the FIRs, which is about rape and attempt to murder, registered in this rape case.
Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh Government had denied rape charges but Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recommended a CBI probe. The Central Agency team will also move to court seeking custodial rights of all the accused. Interrogation of all the family members involved in this case is likely to start soon and the conspiracy angle is also under the lens.
