He announced that the Metro car shed project will be moving from Aarey to Kanjurmarg and that the government land in Kanjurmarg will be given free of cost for the project and this decision will benefit future generations,
CM Uddhav Thackeray further assured that the money already spent on the construction won't be allowed to go waste and that the land at Aarey will be used for some other purpose. This happened after the citizen groups have lost the court battle at the Bombay High Court.
