9:50Now PlayingDoctors in Delhi are continuing to protest over non payment of salaries. Hospitals run by New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), have brought the doctors on street for not getting paid and the doctors have been protesting for at least the last four months. However, their imminent demand has gotten no avail. The doctors have therefore decided to go on an indefinite hunger strike till they are paid.
Delhi is witnessing close to 3 lakh cases and at such a crucial point, the Covid-19 warriors are being denied of their basic amenities which has brought them to lead a protest.
After protesting for 20 days, the doctors have now had to turn their protests into indefinite hunger strike. A doctor says that is unbelievable that such a huge hospital in Delhi (Hindu Rao) is not paying their doctors.
