Delhi in the past week has seen almost 5,000 cases being recorded daily for four consecutive days. The positivity rate has gone up in Delhi and so is the death toll rate. The Delhi government has maintained that this has happened because of the festive season and has also added that Delhi is now looking at a third wave.
A meeting was called in by the Union Government, and the Home Secretary met with the officials of the Delhi government to further take into account what more needs to be done.
