While the Janata Dal (United) will be contesting on 43 seats, its NDA ally the Bharatiya Janata Party will be battling it out on 46. The Rashtriya Janata Dal will be contesting on 56 seats, while the Congress will fight it out in 24 constituencies.
The second phase of polls in the Bihar assembly election began peacefully with 8.05% average voting recorded in 94 seats spread over 17 districts till 9 am. Top politicos including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, leader of the opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, former chief minister Rabri Devi cast their votes at different booths in Patna.
