9:06Now PlayingHaryana Minister Anil Vij has tested positive for COVID-19. On November 20th, the minister participated in Bharat Biotech's Covaxin trial at a hospital in Ambala. The minister took to Twitter to announce this, and he further asked the people who came in contact with him to get tested as well.
Covaxin's third phase of the trial is currently underway, which is also one of the largest vaccine trials that are taking place. A total of 25, 800 subjects are involved and Anil Vij was one of the participants. The minister was given just one dose of the vaccine and has contacted the virus. In the trials of many other vaccines as well, similar incidents were reported. The minister will be given a second dose of the vaccine 21 days apart.
