49:51Now PlayingOn The Urban Debate with Tanvi Shukla, today we discuss the data that has been put out in a report by CMIE which should be concerning, the data explains how there has been a fall in consumer sentiment on the back of unemployment and lower savings. A much higher number of job losses was witnessed in March when there was a nationwide lockdown in India, the unemployment rate has gone up significantly. The CMIE report reveals that consumer sentiment has declined with over 35 lakh people remained unemployed in November 2020. The recovery progressively slowed down in July, August, and September before reversing in October and November. CMIE also added that the recovery phase is over and a decline is setting in again.
