The new strain is 70% more transmissible and many countries, including India, suspended flights from the UK in order to contain the spread of the virus. Union Health Ministry has now issued a new set of guidelines for International Airports, especially for passengers traveling from the United Kingdom. All passengers have to provide their travel history and have to take a mandatory RT-PCR test on their arrival.
