7:53Now PlayingThe first consignment of Covishield vaccines has left Pune's Serum Institute of India this morning ahead of the January 16 nationwide vaccine rollout. Three temperature-controlled trucks from the SII left for Pune airport, from where the vaccines will be flown across India to 13 cities including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai. Air India will be transporting the vaccines to these cities on its Pune-Ahmedabad flight. Vaccines will also be carried on IndiGo's flights from Pune to Chandigarh and on GoAir's flight to Chennai and Lucknow. Mumbai will receive the vaccine via road. The Centre has bought 1.1 crores Covishield doses. Listen in!
