Gandhi had criticised the government earlier on Tuesday over barricades and roadblocks set up at Delhi border farm agitation sites and asked the Centre to construct bridges and not walls. He also criticised the government over the banning of all those who tweet about the ongoing agitation of farmers from Twitter accounts.
At Delhi's borders, farmers' protest sites have turned into fortresses, with police improving defence and strengthening barricades. Iron rods were hooked on the flank of the main highway at the Singhu border between two rows of cement barriers to further restrict the protesters' movement, agitating against the new farm laws of the Centre.
