Congress will soon file a public interest complaint or a written petition against the Governor for his failure to follow the state cabinet's recommendations.
In November last year, the State Cabinet sent a list of eminent individuals to the Governor for election to the Legislative Council. The Governor has declined to enforce a cabinet recommendation. Under such conditions, we believe the best choice will be to knock on the doors of the high court. We are in the process of filing before the high court a PIL or a petition for a writ.
