Among other states, Maharashtra, Kerala and Punjab are some of the top contributors in the total Coronavirus positive cases. In order to prevent the outbreak, the Centre intervened and took stock of the situation.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government ordered strict implementation of COVID protocols to curb the spread of COVID-19; amid the surge in COVID cases, a week-long lockdown imposed in the Amravati district of Maharashtra. Starting tomorrow, only essential services will be functional. A night curfew has been imposed in Pune as well.
Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, on the other hand, witness a substantial spike in COVID-19 cases. The states recorded around 300 new cases every day in the last 7 days.
