According to the Union Health Minister, a spike in COVID-19 cases is seen in Punjab, Chhattisgarh & MadhyaPradesh along with Maharashtra and Kerala. The State of Maharashtra continues to be the big concern as it records over 6,000 new Coronavirus cases within 24 hours. But as the Coronavirus outbreak intensifies, the politics over pandemic also rage, with political parties blaming each other for the rise.
While sharing views over the issue, NCP’s Clyde Crasto says that ‘Not the time to politicise the situation. However, when we were being careful, BJP wanted us to open up the places. They are to be blamed for pushing us to end the Lockdown’. Whereas, BJP’s Devyani K says that ‘Don't see the reason for Maha Vikas Aghadi Government to blame us. Centre had categorically told the state Government to take their own decisions as to what they want to open’.
