4:01Now PlayingThe Mumbai Police have busted a National Sextortion Racket. Mumbai Police crime branch has arrested three people from Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in the case. People were lured by these fake social media accounts. The sextortion racket, mainly, targeted high-profile bureaucrats and journalists.
According to reports, the cyber cell has blocked over 170 Facebook accounts and the racket as spread into separate verticals. A designated team was deployed for each vertical. The accused allegedly completed a cyber crash course.
Joint CP of Mumbai Police, Milind Bharambe took stock of the situation and addressed the media over the latest developments in the Sextortion Racket.
