9:01Now PlayingIn Maharashtra, the number of Coronavirus cases has been increasing; the state has seen the highest daily spike in four months in state and 8,807 coronavirus cases have been reported yesterday. In Mumbai, over 1000 cases were reported on February 24 which is the highest since November and in Pune, the positivity rate has jumped from 7% to 14% in the last 10 days. This has led to Pune and Mumbai emerge as hotspots in the state of Maharashtra.
In the Pimpri-Chinchwad district, the COVID-19 hospital is fully occupied. The Maharashtra government has announced a Janata curfew on February 27 and 28 in Latur. Only essential services will function in Latur during the weekend.
