In the current stage, their out-of-turn healthcare vaccines and frontline staff are being vaccinated, leading the BJP to allege the abuse of power.
But in their defense, the leaders said they had taken the jabs to reassure healthcare and frontline staff who were afraid of being vaccinated and said that after the proper procedure, the shots were taken. On February 20, after completing the mandatory registration for the CoWIN app, Thane Mayor Mhaske reported that he had taken the first dose at the Covid hospital in the area.
