New laws by the Centre are expected to curb the social media abuse. A new resident grievance officer will be appointed and a robust grievance redressal system has now been brought in place for the users. Further, the Union Ministers also stated that the grievances are to be addressed within 24 hours and should be resolved within a time frame of 15 days.
Centre has sought cancelation/ dismissal of a plea that has been filed in the High Court, which seeks to get approval for the same sex marriage. Centre has made it amply clear and has responded in the negative for the same.
