Ahead of Prime Minister's mega rally address, Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty has also joined the saffron party in the presence of party president JP Nadda. Bhartiya Janata Party has made an estimate that close to two lac people will be present for PM Modi's mega address. During his speech, PM Modi takes on Mamata Banerjee, current Bengal CM, and makes a promise of Sonar Bangla to the citizens.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address stated that he has known Mamata Banerjee for years. But this is not the same Didi that has fought against the left. Didi's remote control is somewhere else, says Prime Minister Modi. Prime Minister Modi also added that the BJP was established by Bengali ideology by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. BJP is a party of and for Bengal, states Prime Minister Modi.
