4:50Now PlayingThe Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam have finalized the seat-sharing numbers for the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections (AIADMK). In the Tamil Nadu Assembly, the BJP will run for 20 seats out of a total of 39. The agreement was signed by AIADMK leaders O. Panneerselvam and Edappadi K. Palaniswami, as well as BJP leaders CT Ravi and L Murugan.
A Lok Sabha bypoll ticket has also been given to the BJP for the Kanyakumari constituency. The seat became vacant after the death of H Vasanthakumar of the Congress due to Covid-19. On May 2nd, the election will take place, and the votes will be counted.
