2:05Now PlayingOn Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh slammed the Centre over the Covid-19 vaccination scheme, saying the situation could have been better if the inclusion of people over the age of 45 in the vaccine ambit had not been postponed by two months.
The chief minister's comments came after 65 more people died in Punjab in the last 24 hours as a result of Covid-19, taking the overall death toll to 6,813 on Tuesday. A total of 2,210 new coronavirus cases have been reported in the state, bringing the total number of infections to 2,36,790. Amritsar, with 331 new cases, is the worst-affected area in Punjab, followed by Ludhiana with 329, Jalandhar with 310, and Mohali with 273.
