7:31Now PlayingThe National Capital is now also recording a spike in the number of fresh COVID cases. 4,033 fresh cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours in the National Capital, which is the biggest single-day spike this year. Taking stock of the situation, Delhi's Health Minister Satyendar Jain stated that contact tracing has been ramped up in the National Capital and the hotspots are now being turned into micro containment zones. The Delhi government has also increased the vaccination drive. Delhi Health Minister also added that the numbers of tests have gone up in the state and thus there are more cases that are being identified.
