3:52Now PlayingThe Tamil Nadu government announced new Covid restrictions in light of the spike of the cases. There'll be lockdowns in containment zones, new curbs in marriages, public gatherings, funerals, Local Markets from the 10th of April. The announcement included a ban on all religious events, indoor political, cultural or sports events exceeding 200 people, Movie theatres over 50 people. Additionally, all wholesale markets and other markets will be shut and the rest of the retail shops will be allowed to function only with 50% employees. A restriction on inter-district transportation as well and the allowed transportation will have a maximum limit of 80 people in a bus. There have been taken in the state of Chennai as well. These guidelines have been revisited and address this morning post the last day of the state elections which were severely criticized for not sticking to any Covid appropriate behaviour.
