He was greeted at the airport by Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani, who told PM Modi that he would conduct an aerial survey of the cyclone-affected districts. Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to visit Diu today to assess the cyclone's damage. Thirteen people were killed in Gujarat when Cyclone Tauktae wreaked havoc along the coast, uprooting electric poles, trees, and destroying thousands of homes and highways.
