While several states did not launch the drive citing vaccine supply shortage, several others started and are now facing an acute shortage of vaccine. Delhi govt has now halted the vaccination drive for those above 18 years of age, stating that the National Capital is only left with one day stock for Covishield. AAP MLA Atishi stated that the Covaxin stock for 18+ is over, while the Covishield stock is left for today only.
The government has attributed the decline in the vaccines administered to the depletion in the stocks.
