With the GDP contracting to 7.3% in FY 21, the FICCI has declared the business sentiment at an all-time low, in fact, lowest in decades. Mr P Chidambaram states that over 1 lakh jobs have been lost to this pandemic which the unemployment rate rising to 83.1% from March to May. The post-Covid-19 wave indicators reveal that it will take time for the economy to revive. India's economy grew by 1.6% from January to March in the 4th quarter.
