46:54Now PlayingOn The Urban Debate, Tanvi Shukla brings up the Delhi riots case. In the latest development, Pinjarra tod activists got bail as the Delhi HC stated that the right to protest is not a terrorist act. In the Northeast Delhi riots against the CAA/NRC laws, 53 people were killed in clashes and protests, and several were arrested. Over 755 FIR’s were filed, 1,800 people arrested, and now they finally got arrested. It has been pointed out, time and again, that the right to protest is not sedition or terror activity, but it took an HC order for it to get validated. Finally, after over a year, many protesters have been released on bail under the terror act charges arrest. In a discussion about the righteousness of this issue, Senior Advocate, SC, Kailash Vasudev, states that in a democracy, the right to protest and the right to share your views should be respected. He adds that pushing brute force to quell rights is not going to last and needs to stop.
