2:54Now PlayingThe Karnataka and the Maharashtra state governments held a crucial meeting today in order to discuss the long-standing water dispute. It is now being reported that the states will be sharing information on rainfall and water release. Further, discussions were also held on mitigating the flood damage. North Karnataka is at a high risk of flooding and this comes after Maharashtra has been receiving severe rainfall.
Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Jayant Patil along with members of the Flood Committee met with Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa to discuss the mitigation. Further, it is also being reported that a technical committee will also be formed.
