1:45Now PlayingThe Parliamentary Standing Committee on IT has asked Facebook and Google to appear before them on June 29th on the subject of ‘safeguarding citizen rights and misuse of social media or news platforms.
According to the schedule of committee meetings, which is available on the Lok Sabha website, this is being held to hear the views of representatives of Facebook in India and Google in India on the subject ‘Safeguarding citizens’ rights and prevention of misuse of social or online news media platforms including special emphasis on women security in the digital space.
The meeting will be held in the Main Committee Room of the Parliament House at 4 pm on Tuesday. Listen in!
