The top court said that new IT rules deal with such content on social media. the matter will be taken up for hearing again after a week. A plea which sort direction to restrain the social media platforms from using Islamophobic hashtag, saying it will disturb the communal harmony of the country. A plea was filed in wake of a hashtag that was trending on Twitter. CJI said that new IT rules deal with such issues.
