Both Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party raked up Asthana's controversial past just three days ahead of his retirement. Rakesh Asthana is currently the Director General (DG) of the Border Security Force. The Aam Aadmi Party has further alleged that Asthana has been brought in by the Union government only to muzzle and harass the Delhi government.
