4:44Now PlayingIn a major relief and relaxation to Mumbaikars, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray announced that those fully vaccinated can start travelling in Mumbai locals starting from August 15 after applying for a pass. Maharashtra is all set to unlock amidst the COVID pandemic and certain restrictions have been eased out. Mumbai Locals are said to start from August 15th for fully vaccinated people; and a 14 day gap is mandatory after the second dose. The rule is said to be effective from August 15th. In order to decrease the human interference, monthly passes will now be available smartphones. In order to cater to the digital divide, passes will also be available in ward offices of suburban railway stations. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has informed the public over the new regulations in place. He stated that the state government has decided to open up local trains to Mumbaikars as a part of the relaxation. It is stated that QR code facility on passes will verify authenticity.
