15:48Now PlayingThe last week of the monsoon has arrived and so far the parliamentary session has been highly unproductive. Only one debate on the Covid-19 pandemic has taken place in the Rajyasabha in the monsoon session. None of the other key issues could be discussed in this session of the parliament as it has abysmally fallen short of expectations. In comparison with last year, a total of 6 debates were held, 3 in Rajya Sabha and 3 in Lok Sabha each. However, the opposition has alleged that the government has been passing bills with brute force without hearing the opposition's opinions. On the other hand, the ruling party claims meaningless obstructions and repeated adjournments as deliberate disruptions in order to derail parliamentary sessions.
