2:11Now PlayingAccording to the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy, India added 1.2 crore employment in July, in agriculture whereas 54 lakhs in construction. However, the number of salaried jobs declined by 3.2 million in the same month. The unorganized sector is giving out most of the work on the other hand there has been slashing of jobs in organized ones. However, at the end of May 2021, India's hiring rate was 35 percent higher, and at the end of June this year, it was 42 percent higher. Companies adopted a more cautious approach to hiring in 2020, therefore the increase could be attributable to a release of pent-up hiring.
