2:55Now PlayingThe Centre has notified the Delhi High Court that Twitter Inc, a microblogging site, is in conformity with the new Information Technology (IT) Rules on the surface. The Centre informed the court that Twitter has appointed a permanent Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), Resident Grievance Officer (RGO), and Nodal Contact Person. The Information Technology Rules, 2021, were notified by the central government in February and aim to regulate the transmission and publication of content in cyberspace, including social media platforms. According to the Centre's affidavit, Twitter failed to comply with India's new IT Rules, which might result in the company losing its IT Act immunity.
