5:41Now PlayingA committee of experts constituted under the National Institute of Disaster Management has recommended better medical preparedness for children who might be at similar risk as adults in the imminent 3rd wave. The committee also highlighted that the pediatric facilities are not close enough to what may be required in case a large number of children are affected. The report has been submitted to the PMO. The panel has asked for prioritizing vaccination among children and with a special focus on disabled children. Experts have also raised a concern about 82% shortage of pediatricians in primary health centers and 63% shortage of vaccines in community health centers. Watch to know more.
