Over 30,000 daily cases were recorded for the third consecutive day and if we talk about the last 24 hours then Kerala recorded 32,801 covid cases on Friday itself. Now, the Centre has sent a letter to the state govt. citing that they should speed up the vaccination program and also set up containment zones wherever required. The center in its letter has emphasized that Kerala has witnessed the sustain and significant covid transmission since July 2021 and emerging as one of the top contributors to the daily new cases in India. The Centre has also highlighted that despite the efforts of the state govt., State's positivity rate remains above 15% signaling high and widespread transmission.
