According to a government decree, Sinha will now be the additional secretary of the Citizen Resources Information Department, and he will be reassigned to a vacant position. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had previously conceded that Ayush Sinha, a 2018-batch IAS official, had used the incorrect language, but justified the police action. Dushyant Chautala, Haryana's Deputy Chief Minister, has also condemned his statement and pledged to take action against him.
