While the pandemic and the slowing economy have already added pressure to the common man, people now have to pay ₹ 884 per cylinder. Prices of commercial cylinders have also gone up by ₹ 75, which costs about ₹1693 per cylinder with slight variation according to the location. Adding to these issues, petrol prices remain at the price point of ₹ 100 per litre in most major cities today. Prices of edible oil, fertilizers, auto components have already surged wholesale inflation by itself at 11.2% for July, which was about 2.5% in January. Is there any relief in sight for the common man?
