The Bhartiya Janata Party has now responded to the event by stating that the Namaz Room in the assembly is not constitutional. Congress on the other hand has retorted by saying ‘Bhartiya Janata Party is playing divisive politics’. A protest was carried out against the new rule by the Bhartiya Janata Party workers and targetted the Chief Minister. The Bhartiya Janata Party staged a protest by doing Bhajans as well as Kirtans outside the premises. Bhartiya Janata Party has stated that the move is brought in to appease the Muslim population.
