Punjab CM had earlier called out the Centre for Rs 40 hike in MSP for wheat, calling it a 'cruel joke on farmers'. The centre announced a revised MSP for wheat at Rs 2015 per quintal, a hike of Rs 40 per quinta. The row over the MSP has been ongoing for a very long time amid the Punjab Congress infighting.
