Sept 10 marks the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi, and even though crowds were seen thronging at the markets in several states, a muted Ganesh Chaturthi is now being witnessed across the country, after restrictions were put in place. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi have put a ban on physical gatherings in order to contain the spread of the virus. Locals have been asked to attend the festivities virtually.
