According to the report, there has been an increased growth of 29 per cent across nine selected sectors, including construction, manufacturing and IT/BPO, which was at 3.08 crore in the April-June quarter of 2021-22 compared to 2.37 crore reported in the Economic Census of 2013-14. However, one must note that the base of this survey is the Economic Census of 2013-14. The report also shows that due to the COVID pandemic trade and restaurant businesses have taken a hit.
